Praises

Buster and Ginger

John and I went to Raleigh First Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday evening, June 25 to speak with the congregation about our upcoming mission assignment.  We were reunited with many of our team mates from the South Africa trip last fall.

During our talk, we listed our immediate prayer requests and placing Buster and Ginger in an appropriate home was at the top of the list.  We’ve had both since they were six weeks old and they are now 8 and 10 years old and are definitely considered part of the family.

On Saturday, June 28 I received a call from Ann (Lambert) Elliott.  Ann went with us to South Africa last September and she had attended the Wednesday evening service.  She asked if John and I would consider allowing her and Bill to adopt Buster and Ginger.

John and I discussed their offer and immediately began to feel a peace over having to place Buster and Ginger into another home.  We spoke with Ann again and decided to meet this past Wednesday (July 2) to introduce everyone and see how compatible Buster and Ginger were with Pima, the cat and Jake and Hailey, their two (Lab) grand dogs.

When we arrived, everyone was waiting.  Buster and Ginger bounced into the house just like -they knew they were home.  They met Jake and Hailey and the four of them got so rowdy playing, we decided to move the party outside.  Everyone made friends with everyone else, humans and animals and it was a great fit.

As Ann, Bill, John and I talked during lunch, we discovered we both have SKYPE with web cams.  Now isn’t that just like God to finish every detail so perfectly . . . not only can we email back and forth, but we can actually have free audio and video contact on a regular basis!

God is so good, in big and small things, He is always good.
